Technology opened another door when Colin Foster introduced the first Virtual Doorman system in 2002, thus creating the remote doorman industry.
Mr. Foster has been instrumental in developing the architecture and unique features for every evolving generation of Virtual Doorman from the beginning. Colin Foster’s unique mix of technology and industry knowhow has enabled the company to produce an affordable package that truly revolutionizes personal services and security within the real estate market. His unique business vision is the result of combining his early expertise in interactive video technology with a deep understanding of the competitive pressures that property owners face to help them increase the value of their building investments.
Today, Colin Foster leverages his extensive knowledge to further develop the product’s functionality and increase Virtual Doorman’s reach regionally and nationally.
Colin Foster’s extensive background in the security and surveillance industries, strong track record in sales and marketing, and keen business acumen have helped bring Virtual Doorman™ to its current rate of success in the New York Metro and Tri-State Area. He is responsible for directing sales and marketing efforts and works closely with all Account and Project Managers. He is also entrenched in working with building managers and real estate brokers toensure optimal product performance and plan for clients’ and tenants’ future security needs. He oversees training and development operations to ensure continued customer satisfaction; and works closely with the General Manager to
manage vendor relations, pricing and financial management.
Colin Foster is also a frequent speaker for management conferences and business training seminars throughout the Northeast. He recently spoke at the Buildings New York Show where he presented a seminar on security systems integration to building owners, developers and managers.
Prior to creating Virtual Doorman, Mr. Foster worked on the New York Stock Exchange as a Specialist. Earlier, in addition to several entrepreneurial endeavors, he has held various positions at Digital Equipment and Lotus Development.
Cristine Morettin is responsible for managing the Company’s internal operations and is the primary contact for all legal, financial, marketing, and administrative issues. Ms. Morettin has more than 15 years of strategic marketing and business development experience. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and joined the Company in 2003. Ms. Morettin previously was a Marketing Director at Time Inc. and Sports Illustrated, which are both divisions of Time Warner. She gained additional experience as an Account Director for various technology and telecommunications accounts at Bronner Slosberg Humphrey (now Digitas), a direct/relationship marketing agency, as well as through various positions in marketing and business development in the publishing and technology sectors.
Ralph Stein is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects in the New York TriState Area and serves as a vital source of product and industry information for his clients. He is responsible for generating sales of integrated security solutions and related products and services to clients. Mr. Stein additionally works closely with customers, product development and installation teams, and Project Managers to ensure that all projects are seamless from start to finish. Mr. Stein has extensive sales experience in the security industry. He began his career in the security industry in 1995 selling burglar alarm and card access security systems to many of New York City’s highest-risk accounts, including diamond dealers, jewelry stores and fine art galleries and other luxury establishments. As native New Yorker, Mr. Stein has a thorough understanding of the needs of New York building owners, managers, and developers. He is a graduate of Boston University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration.
Charlie Bodt is a seasoned security system installer with more than 20 years of experience in the security and technology industries. He currently manages a field staff of installers and technicians that install, service, and maintain the state-of-the-art systems delivered to all customers. His team of experts has decades of collective experience in installing and servicing all varieties of security and audio visual equipment. Mr. Bodt has managed the installation of hundreds of projects and ensures that each installation not only meets customers’ needs, but is in compliance with state requirements.
